Taking a Kitchen from Worn to Wonderful
We recently remodeled a smaller kitchen in Redlands and wanted to share the transformation with you. This neat but worn kitchen was ready for a redo. From floor to ceiling, new cabinets and countertops, you can see the changes when you look at the photos below.
Please note that the old bank of fluorescent lights were replaced by a recessed decorative ceiling with accent lighting, and that the microwave now has its own dedicated niche, freeing up counter space.

Ceiling Lights
As we said above, we removed the bank of fluorescent lights and replaced it with accent lighting. Notice the details on the inset ceiling, which matches the cabinetry in color and style. It looks so much better than the old grid of lighting panels.
Countertops and Cabinets
The stone counters are Cambria quartz, with subtle veining and a lovely hue. The backsplash is a simple one of white subway tile, adding to the kitchen’s clean and bright look.
Our clients’ old cabinets were green in color and they wanted to keep a touch of that color in the new woodwork, so you will see just a hint of green in the cabinetry and also in the ceiling inset. The shade is uniquely theirs.
